We offer counselling/psychotherapy to young people aged 11-21, and therapeutic play to children aged 5-11. Counselling offers a safe and confidential space to talk freely and openly to someone who is not a family member or a friend. For children we ask for a commitment to 12 sessions; for young people we advise a commitment to 12 sessions, and an understanding they may require up to a maximum of 24 sessions.

Young people come to counselling for many reasons, including uncomfortable feelings due to anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, relationship issues, trauma, bereavement etc.
The list is much longer but the important thing is that you decide what you want to talk about because it is your journey. Many young people suffer in silence, bottling up their feelings of despair, anger, sadness and loneliness.
We also recognise and appreciate, that it does often take a huge amount of courage to make that first step and ask for help, whether it means talking to a trusted adult or picking up the phone and ringing us yourself.
